Manila Bloggers Feature

got featured on ManilaBloggers:

Full Name: Tatie Aquino
Age: 20
School/Work: Fresh grad from UST/ Freelance stylist
Inspiration/s: Anything fascinating related to art and fashion
When did you start blogging and who/what influenced you to do so? I started blogging way back in 2004. One of my friends influenced me to start blogging since I see it as a tool for self expression. During that time, there were no categories yet like fashion bloggers, beauty bloggers, food, travel. Everyone posts about anything, not limited to the category and I enjoyed reading those blogs. Sometimes I wish blogs today stay the same.
Describe your blog. My blog is all about art, fashion, and lifestyle. I post about what I do in school (plates, artworks) and the things I do that are not school related like styling and also the events I attended. I also post about what inspires me at a certain moment.
What makes your blog unique or different from the rest? My blog isn’t full of outfit posts with links of brands. I don’t treat my blog like lookbook.nu. I post different things, I want to share to my readers not only about how I dress but also how is it to be in my shoes, or what I do in my life.
Tell us something more about yourself like your hobbies besides blogging. What do you love to do? Besides blogging, I love creating artworks. Art + Fashion is really what I am.
How do you want people to remember you? I want  to be remembered as a passionate woman who keeps doing what I love. It doesn’t matter how the society looks at it but as long as I am happy and I love what I’m doing, I’ll reach my goals and be successful in life.
What do you want to say to your followers/readers and your fellow bloggers?  Keep the passion burning. Whatever it is that you love doing, whether it is blogging, cooking, painting.. etc. Be passionate and keep yourself happy and positive. Do it because you love doing it.

Thank you, ManilaBloggers!

first day of driving!

started driving with kuya mags at golden haven in the morning, I learned the basics but I was super scared of main roads.

in the afternoon, Jianna taught me to drive in subdivisions where there are some cars and tricycles, and HUMPS. lol then we picked up some of our friends as I practice driving.

I finally tried driving in main roads during the night. I was nervous but as long as Jianna's guiding me, I braved the night roads with a bit of rain!

first day of driving and I already drove at alabang-zapote road - c5 - sucat -quirino ave.
yey thank you to kuya mags and jianna! I am a fast learner!

after-college treat: Yabu: House of Katsu

I've been thinking who should I bring to Yabu weeks before. I was actually planning to bring someone I hardly spend time with. But since finals week delayed my Yabu treat, and since that day was the last day of  exams, I thought of bringing my college friends (from 1st-4th year) to thank them for the 4 years of friendship. and so this is how we ended our college lives!

The staff were very accommodating and they were like reading our minds! They knew what we need even before we ask for it (like water.. etc..)

They gave us these mini bowls of sesame seeds to grind:

at first, we were grinding soft (pa-girl effect) lol then we looked at the container closely and Bel said that there's a purpose why it was designed like that, we were actually amazed, we were talking about how Japanese wisely thought of these things. then we were joking that they must have trained a cat to scratch the bowls. haha

Nichi and Es ordered for Fish katsu set and chicken katsu set while Bel and I ordered katsudon, chicken for me and rosu for her.

fruits and unli cabbage! yay!

They had really big servings! I wasn't even halfway but I already feel full. But since it really tasted so delicious, I almost finished it.  hihi.

Their katsu was surprisingly soft, it's true that you can slice it using chopsticks!

The ambiance was good, and did I already mention that their staff were really super accommodating? They were really attentive to our needs.

look! there are bag holders under the table

what I love:

their waffle wall! haha

we all went out with heavy tummies! *burp* Thanks for the treat, Connect Agencie and Yabu!
two thumbs up! I want to go back with my family naman next time :)

Visit Yabu at the 2nd level, Mega Atrium, SM Megamall
